Château d’Yquem is situated within the 40 miles of Sauternes, which lies south of Bordeaux city. Both the region and winemaker are revered for producing exceptional dessert wines. The château is the only one in Sauternes to be rated as Premier Cru Supérieur in the Official Classification of 1855. This Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon blend boasts honey, liquid caramel, burnt wood and acidity, and pairs best with fruity treats and blue cheeses.
