We are all familiar with the Remy Martin and Hennessy houses in Cognac but there are plenty of smaller houses that are producing some of the regions top Cognac and without a doubt Ragnaud Sabourin is at the very top. This 35 year old brandy is delicate and elegant with a subtle mix of oak spice and balsam. Dried fruits, orange rind and blossom on the palate combined with rich, oily unctuous notes and the famed rancio charentais clearly discernible.
