This season, our Head Menswear Buyer Bosse Myhr has his eye on pieces to wear in the great outdoors. “I’m enjoying going for long wintry walks, so I will be investing in outerwear in the Selfridges Sale – there’s nothing better than a new coat or jacket to keep you warm when out and about,” he says. If you’re looking for styles that will work all year round, Bosse recommends investing in key sportswear staples in the Selfridges Sale: “I can never have enough sweats and hoodies in my wardrobe particularly during the winter months.”

AJ Dowey, our Men’s Designer Street and Women’s Designer Studio Buyer, is excited about finding shirts that you can throw on to elevate any look. “I’ll be styling these with some wide-leg jeans or trousers to keep the look cool but comfortable because, let’s face it, comfort is paramount,” says AJ. As for more casual pieces? “Anything vintage is a good bet – you can’t go wrong with a lived-in tee or sweatshirt with a great retro graphic or logo,” says AJ who is drawn to brands that “care about the same things as I do, whether that be sustainability or equality”. So, what’s his top tip for smart sale shopping? “Get in there early! If you want something, don’t wait because you’ll kick yourself when it’s gone. I have, however, gotten lucky and picked up something very special that someone else has returned, so come back often,” says AJ, who is looking to invest in new, lesser-known streetwear brands while adding colours and silhouettes that are missing from his wardrobe.
