THE CROWD PLEASER

Food is the key to many of our hearts, and Laura’s take on a classic bread-and-butter pudding is made with leftover hot cross buns, orange-flavoured liqueur and orange zest. “It’s absolutely delicious! Great for Grandma, great for Granddad, great for the kids,” says Laura. If you haven’t left any hot cross buns spare, serve Selfridges Selection Easter eggs or our Classic Italian colomba instead.

THE SPRITZ

For your Easter time cocktail, stick to simple ingredients that you can easily mix up while entertaining guests. Laura’s St-Germain Spritz combines St-Germain elderflower liqueur, Selfridges Selection champagne, mint and lemon – fresh flavours that you can serve all the way through to summer barbecues. Experiment with adding herbal garnishes like rosemary or basil and serve it up in colourful glassware that matches the rest of your table.

For place settings, Laura gives chicken’s eggs an artistic makeover, using napkins and paint. This is your opportunity to get creative and add your own personal touches to your spread. “If you have a GCSE Art degree like me, you can do it yourself – or get the kids involved,” she says. “I absolutely love this for the table this Easter.”

THE CENTREPIECE

Yellow flowers take centre stage on Laura’s Easter table. She uses daffodils in small vases, and a large bouquet of mimosas and yellow tulips in a complementary blue vase. “It’s so lovely to dress the table when you have people coming over,” says Laura. “I’m also using some of the mimosa

on the place settings,” she adds. For extra atmosphere, dot block-coloured taper candles across the table.
